Marketing Manager, North Africa

OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

Be the center of information for the North Africa team & the Categories team, through understanding customer needs, consumer needs, insights, trends, and aspirations. Accelerate the Sales Managers’ objectives of growing the share of business across the different accounts. Refer to tasks for details

Major Tasks:

Develop an in-depth understanding of customer, brand insights and consumer trends while translating consumer needs into product concepts and customized creative marketing presentations/tools of engagement.
Share consumer insights & trends from the region to the categories team through an agreed platform.
Collaborate and engage with Sensory & Consumer Insights Manager on projects and strategic growth opportunities.
Translate consumer & market insights into marketing concepts for defined key customers in the region.
Development and execution of focused marketing programs, marketing tools and communication strategies (advertising, customer events, toolboxes, etc.
Co-ordination and alignment of marketing activities with category, sales and corporate positioning.
Design & deliver the marketing/selling tools of concepts to sales team and ensure meeting the messages communications to the customers.
Design customer innovation days and internal communication platform of insights.
Manage the “consumers/customers trend” identification process in the different markets, and support the categories in translating those “trend insights” into relevant concepts or products, and in alignment with both the category & sales objectives.
Maintain marketing-to-marketing relationships within the key customer organizations and identify strategically aligned new project opportunities.
Develop a strategic marketing plan to serve the region’s strategy & growth ambition for the assigned region.

Special Tasks:

Coordinate special events associated with promoting Symrise to the industry ie customer innovation days, industry innovation days with key partners (packaging companies, gum base companies, pellets companies).

Responsibilities:

More engaged customer’s marketing team, and understanding of Key customer’s marketing strategies and agendas.
Increased share of wallet (market share) within existing customers.
Design the flavors map (for selected key customers/selected categories).
Success ratios of new projects.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of work experience in the marketing function.

Specialist requirements:

Sound understanding of classical marketing mix and focus on brand positioning and consumer understanding.
Demonstrates knowledge and insights about consumers and brands and acts to fulfill our customers’ needs and exceed their expectations.
Thinks in new ways about consumer and market trends.
Champion’s creativity and innovation to improve business performance.
Demonstrates a high level of ability to persuade individuals and groups.
Creates and communicates a clear and compelling view.
Passionate, and curious about trends and consumer behavior.
Creative and innovative.
Team player.
B2B and B2C exposure preferable.
Very good presentation skills.
Very good communication skills.
Ideally – Good networks in the industry.
